The Laboratorium Museum in Bergara has opened the exhibition 'The day of the two sunsets', focusing on the August 12 solar eclipse to promote scientific outreach.

The new exhibition was presented at the Laboratorium Museum in Bergara as part of a traveling program promoted by the Department of Science, University and Innovation of the Basque Government. The display uses scientific illustrations and four large totems to explain the astronomical phenomenon in an accessible and engaging way.

"Observing a total solar eclipse is one of the most moving experiences a person can have when witnessing a natural phenomenon. With this initiative, without setting aside the emotional side, we want to offer the intellectual side that will allow us to better understand astronomy and how the solar system works."

This project was developed with the collaboration of over 20 organizations from the Jakindari alliance, including the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) and the Aranzadi society, both of which participated in its creation.

"The upcoming total solar eclipse on August 12 will be a unique opportunity to spark scientific curiosity and learn about our environment through astronomy."
