Aretxabaleta's senior team has secured its place in the second round of the Inter-Town Tournament following a crucial victory in Alegia, as Oñati and Antzuola have been eliminated from the competition.

Last week, during the home games, Aretxabaleta only managed to win one match, the youth category (22-1). However, they lost in the cadet category (22-0) and the senior category (22-15). With these results, the senior team needed to win their match in Alegia to progress, and they did not disappoint, securing a 22-8 victory.
This victory allows Aretxabaleta's senior team to play in the second round. Meanwhile, Oñati's team, after a 3-0 loss in the first leg, managed to win the senior return match (22-10). Nevertheless, having lost the cadet and youth matches (22-10 and 22-5), they could not overcome the elimination round.
As for Antzuola, they lost in the cadet category by 22-7 and in the youth category by 22-10. In the senior category, however, they achieved a victory (22-5). With these outcomes, the team from Zegama has advanced, eliminating Antzuola. Thus, Aretxabaleta is the only team from the region still in the competition.
