The passion for darts is “very high,” as highlighted by the championship organizers, Kristyna Ovsakova and Cristian Arias. Both are members of the Antzuolako Munstroak team, and thanks to their efforts, approximately 300 dart players gathered, coming from various locations in Spain and the Czech Republic.
The organizers noted that, thanks to connections made in other darts competitions, they managed to bring some of the world's best players, including world champion Ricardo Perez Riki. This player emphasized that good relations with the organizers motivated him to compete in Antzuola, citing his love for the sport and friendship with the local people.
“"We have a great passion for darts; it's a sport we love. We have a strong friendship with the people of Antzuola, and when they asked us to come here, we didn't think twice."
Ovsakova, organizer of the Ongi Etorri restaurant's darts tournament, stated that they had to put in a lot of work to organize the event and are very proud of the outcome. “Filling a bar in Antzuola with dart players is incredible; I would say we have done something almost impossible, and we are very proud to have achieved it,” she added.
Over the weekend, various darts modalities were contested, both individually and in pairs. In the individual competition, Rixi emerged victorious, followed by Smarlin and Toni Alcinas. In the pairs category, the duo Smarlin-Juanlu claimed the win, ahead of Riky-Davila and Abdel-Maykon.
