In Bergara, three types of visits will be offered throughout the month: the Laboratorium Museum, Monumental Bergara, and the Historic Gardens. These guided tours will take place daily at specific times: Monday to Friday at 13:00; Sundays and holidays at 12:00; and Saturdays, at 11:00 and 12:30. To participate, it is necessary to register at least one day in advance by calling 943-76 90 03 or emailing laboratorium@bergara.eus. The first person to make a reservation will choose the language of the tour.
Additionally, on August 8th and 29th, there will be an opportunity to explore the interior of the Olaso Tower. On the first day, it will be at 11:00 in Basque and 12:30 in Spanish; on the second day, only at 11:00. On the 29th itself, there will also be a visit to the San Pedro parish church. To participate in these activities, prior reservation at the Laboratorium will be required.
In Oñati, tourism technicians will showcase the San Miguel parish church and the historic center on a guided tour. This tour will take place daily in August, at 13:00, starting from the Tourist Office. Registration is required by calling 943-78 34 53.
In Elgeta, there is an opportunity to discover the Intxorta trenches, a witness to the events of the Civil War, on Saturdays and Sundays in August. Starting from the Intxorta Pass, they will traverse the republican trenches and shelters, reaching the La Belga position. To participate in the two-hour walk, prior registration is necessary by calling 943-79 64 63 or emailing infoturismo@debagoiena.eus.
The Salt Museum can also be visited from Friday to Sunday. The tours, to learn about the history of salt's evolution in the town, will be at 12:00 in Basque and 13:00 in Spanish. To register: 943-71 47 92.
In Arrasate, beyond tourism, guided mountain hikes have been organized for those staying home. On August 9th, the Arrasate circuit will take place, crossing the neighborhoods of Bedoña and Meatzerreka. On August 23rd, the Gongeta mines-Besaide route will be held. To participate in both activities, registration can be done on Arrasate.eus or by calling 943-25 20 00.
The Arantzazu Parketxe has also prepared a list of activities for August. Firstly, an inclusive game will be held on the accessible route from Parketxe to Gomiztegi, to put participants in the shoes of people with visual impairments and mobility issues, and for family enjoyment. It will take place on August 15th, 16th, and 22nd, starting at 11:00. Secondly, they will offer the opportunity to go on a treasure hunt for Arantzazu's lost treasures, an orientation game for families, on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in August.
