Jokin Aranbarri, a coach from Azkoitia, has been appointed the new head coach of Eibar's senior men's team, the club confirmed. Aranbarri previously managed Athletic's reserve squad for two seasons.

SD Eibar has reached an agreement with coach Jokin Aranbarri from Azkoitia to lead the club's men's first team. Aranbarri will thus return to Eibar, where he has previously coached various youth squads. The technical staff for the first team will also include Andoni Azkargorta and Mikel Balenziaga, as announced by the club.
For the past two seasons, Aranbarri coached Athletic's reserve team, having moved to Eibar in the summer of 2024 from their own second team.
The Azkoitia-based coach has a long-standing relationship with the Eibar club. He joined the club's technical structure in 2016 and managed several teams over five seasons, from the Honor Cadete level up to the Honor Youth Division. In 2021, he transitioned to manage Vitoria, the Spanish Tercera División affiliate of Eibar, where he spent three seasons and achieved promotion in the 2023-2024 campaign.
