The Elgoibar City Council has distributed approximately €15,906.14 among nine social associations through its 2026 competitive grant process. These grants will support projects addressing areas such as visual impairment, Parkinson's disease, cystic fibrosis, dyslexia, autism, neuromuscular diseases, and positive parenting.
The council emphasized the crucial role of associations in strengthening the local social network, supporting individuals with disabilities, family training, and specialized healthcare. The funded projects cover a wide range of areas, all focused on the well-being of Elgoibar's residents.
The beneficiary associations and the amounts received are as follows: AGI received €1,883.63 for an online psychosocial support program for individuals with visual impairment or blindness and their families; Jaima, €1,480.00 for the Oporrak Bakean 2026 project; Deparkel, €1,500.00 for comprehensive psychological support for individuals with Parkinson's and their families; Arnasak, €1,177.27 for integrated care for cystic fibrosis; Dislegi, €3,531.81 for awareness campaigns on dyslexia, family training, and sensitization; Gautena, €2,000.00 for a leisure program; AECC, €1,154.80 for the Udako Osasungarria program; and GENE, €1,765.91 in collaboration with local stakeholders.
