Several social associations in Llodio, including Etawasol and APILL, have organized a day to promote cultural diversity on May 21st, alongside an initiative to boost local commerce.

Numerous social organizations in Llodio, such as Etawasol, EPA, Zapalan, Caritas, Faktoria, Kale Hezitzaileak, Sartu, and Bor-bor elkartea, have organized Laudio Kulturanitza for Thursday, May 21st. This event aims to celebrate cultural diversity, with most activities taking place in the Abastos square during the morning.
The day will begin at 10:00 AM with the Bidelagun walk, followed by a traditional hamaiketako at 11:15 AM. The event will conclude at 12:00 PM with a photography exhibition. To curate this exhibition, a photography contest has been organized beforehand, focusing on the theme of the day. Participants can submit their images until May 15th to the phone number 622 279 889 or via email at laudiokulturanitza@gmail.com.
In parallel, the local merchants' association APILL has launched a new campaign through the Laudio Berrikusi APP. The objective is to engage Llodio residents in an entertaining way to test their knowledge about local businesses. This campaign, part of the Laudio Berrikusi Aurrera project sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Basque Government, will run from Thursday, May 14th until June 4th.
To participate, users simply need to access the QUIZ button on the home screen of the Laudio Berrikusi APP and answer the questions from the campaign “How much do you know about Llodio's commerce?”. The contest will feature nine different questions, and each correct answer will grant an entry into the final draw for a total of 1,200 euros in shopping vouchers. These vouchers can be spent in local establishments (one for 600 euros, one for 300 euros, and three for 100 euros each). The draw will take place on June 4th.
APILL also noted that on May 5th, through Laudio Berrikusi, the draw for the “Get a thousand in March and April” campaign was held, and the 1,000-euro shopping voucher prize was awarded to a participant.
