The Governing Team of the Amurrio City Council, composed of the PNV and PSE-EE and led by Txerra Molinuevo, has achieved an 88% fulfillment rate of its legislative plan within the first three years of the term.

The balance reflects the work carried out to continue building a more social, sustainable, egalitarian, dynamic, and accessible municipality, with projects that address the current needs of citizens and lay the foundation for the future town.
In the social sphere, policies for the elderly have been strengthened, consolidating services like the dining hall at the House of the Elderly and advancing an integral and innovative care model through the Zaintza project. Construction has begun on the Rural Day Care Center building, expanding places for dependent individuals.
Equality and diversity have remained priority axes, developing the V Equality Plan “Aingurak”, promoting the Amurrio Harro initiative, and the Amurrio +Inclusivo project, to move towards a more accessible and inclusive society.
The Youth Service has adapted to new needs, and rental assistance has been provided to support youth emancipation. Improvements have also been driven in public schools, and initiatives have been strengthened to facilitate student integration and academic success.
Areas related to sustainability and urban improvement have shown the highest execution rates. Strategic projects have been promoted, such as energy communities, the installation of photovoltaic panels on municipal pools, and new mobility and parking infrastructures.
Also noteworthy are the integral revitalization of the Goikolarra neighborhood, the recovery of the Armuru river, and the improvement of pedestrian and cycling routes, as well as activities to continue completing the linear park of the Nervión river.
Thanks to the legislature, the Strategic Culture Plan 2022-2032 has continued to be developed, with progress made on projects such as the rehabilitation of the Old Market building for future use as an exhibition hall, auditorium, and multipurpose room, or the renovation of the municipal fronton court.
Work also continues to promote the social use of Euskera and strengthen its presence in municipal services.
In the economic sector, all planned activities have been met, consolidating the Home Care Employment Plan, supporting local commerce and hospitality through initiatives like Izan Amurrio and Goineran, and launching Aiala Industrial Lab to strengthen the regional innovation and industrial fabric.
Citizen participation, administrative simplification, and digitalization have remained priorities over these three years. The council has continued to promote new participation spaces, facilitating relationships with associations and citizens, and moving towards a more accessible, modern, and secure administration.
The Governing Team has positively assessed the progress made and reiterated its commitment to continue working in the final year of the legislature to complete ongoing projects and advance towards a municipal model that places people, sustainability, and quality of life at the center of public action.
In addition to the measures initially included in the legislative plan, during these three years the Amurrio City Council has promoted new activities arising from detected needs and opportunities. These include initiatives like Aiarafest in culture and youth, and reinforced services for children and young people by strengthening the Ludoteka and Gaztelekua.
Regarding economic development and employment, progress has continued in housing policies, and collaboration with the Administrative Boards has been strengthened, improving financial funding and signage in the districts. New initiatives related to employment and local development have also been promoted.
Improvements have also been made in infrastructure and public services: new bus shelters have been installed, a bicycle cleaning service has been introduced to promote more sustainable mobility, and various activities have been carried out to improve children's parks, increasing their safety and accessibility.
These actions demonstrate the council's capacity to adapt to new citizen demands and continue promoting projects that contribute to improving the quality of life in Amurrio and its districts.
