EH Bildu in Amurrio has submitted a total amendment to the budget project presented by the PNV-PSE Government team for 2026, arguing that it does not consider the local economic situation.

The coalition points to major deficiencies in budget planning, such as a lack of foresight, the inclusion of credits that jeopardize municipal coffers, a clear imbalance between revenues and expenditures, and non-compliance with the spending ceiling.

"As the years go by, we are verifying that this non-compliance is not punctual, but structural. There is less and less money left in the piggy bank, and we are endangering the future of municipal finances."

They have denounced that the lack of budgetary planning, combined with the construction of large projects, compromises the future. This leads to “the loss of substantial subsidies or the creation of commitment credits that, for the 2027 fiscal year, exceed 2 million euros in self-financing alone.”
Furthermore, they highlight the imbalance between expenditure and revenue items, which implies a failure to meet the objective of budgetary stability. According to the coalition, these accounts do not meet the current needs of Amurrio's citizens and, more seriously, endanger their financial stability.
