An international title doesn't begin when a dog enters the ring. Behind every result are years of selection, breed knowledge, breeding planning, care, socialization, and preparation. For Ferruxo Cans, 2026 marks the confirmation of this work and a significant step forward in its positioning as a specialized breeder of Miniature and Giant Schnauzers.
The main highlight of the season came at the World Dog Show 2026, held in BolognaFiere, Italy. There, Nero de Ferruxo Cans achieved the title of Hope World Winner 2026, equivalent to world winner in the puppy category. Furthermore, he was selected to compete in the honour ring, placing among the top eight specimens in his category at one of the major events in international cynology. The World Dog Show in Bologna hosted its main exhibitions between June 3rd and 7th, with the Group 2 judging taking place within its official schedule.

The result achieved in Italy culminates a particularly outstanding progression for Nero. In his first ring appearance, at the II National Canine Competition of Arcos da Condesa, he was recognized as Best Puppy and achieved third place in the Best in Show of his category. Subsequently, at the 53rd International Canine Exhibition of Lugo, he again obtained the qualification of Very Promising and the recognition of Best Puppy. The results sheets from the Lugo exhibition list Nero de Ferruxo Cans as first in his class and Best Puppy of Breed.His trajectory continued at the XVII National Canine Competition of A Toxa, where he once again achieved the recognition of Best Puppy and third place in the Best in Show. This consistency across different exhibitions, judged by different judges and against different competitors, reinforces the value of a specimen that, despite his youth, has already begun to stand out both within and outside of Spain.
The kennel's successes are not solely concentrated on Nero. Furia de Ferruxo Cans, at just 20 months old, achieved an Excellent qualification and third place in her class at the World Dog Show 2026. Shortly before, at the Latin Winner International Canine Exhibition in Valladolid, she had obtained Excellent 1st, CAC, CACIB, and Best of Breed. These results allowed her to complete, according to the record provided by Ferruxo Cans, the title of Spanish Champion and also earn the Latin Winner 2026 title.
Furia had already begun the year by achieving relevant results in Lugo. The January qualifications show an Excellent 1st and CAC for the Giant Schnauzer female. At the May monographic exhibition in Valladolid, she again achieved an Excellent 1st, confirming her development and competitiveness within the breed.
Added to these achievements is Aria de Ferruxo Cans, who at the canine exhibitions held in Lugo in January 2026 obtained Excellent 1st, CAC, and Best of Breed in the national exhibition, as well as Excellent 1st, CAC, CACIB, and Best of Breed in the international one. With these results, Aria managed to be proclaimed Spanish Champion, reinforcing Ferruxo Cans' presence also within the Miniature Schnauzer. The published qualifications from the international exhibition list her Excellent 1st, CAC, CACIB, and Best of Breed.
The competition team is completed by specimens such as Cethuz Colosso, bred by Patricia Dalcero and owned by Ferruxo Cans. At the II National Monographic Exhibition Alianza Schnauzer & Pinscher of Valladolid, he received the recognition of Best Puppy and reached the Best in Show of his category. The published results show his first place, the qualification of Very Promising, and the recognition as Best Puppy of Breed.
This set of results shows that the work of Ferruxo Cans does not depend on a single specimen or an isolated participation. The kennel is building a line capable of competing in Miniature and Giant Schnauzer, with dogs born under its own affix and with specimens carefully incorporated into its program.
Ferruxo Cans specializes in the four colour varieties of the Miniature Schnauzer—black, white, salt and pepper, and black and silver—as well as the Giant Schnauzer. Its approach seeks to combine the morphology necessary for top-level competition with essential qualities such as balance, temperament, vitality, and adaptation to family life. The project also highlights veterinary follow-up, a natural environment, and early socialization as fundamental parts of its breeding method.
From Arcos da Condesa, Ferruxo Cans has succeeded in bringing the name of a Galician kennel to national and international exhibitions and competing against some of the most outstanding specimens in the canine world. The titles achieved in Spain and at the World Dog Show 2026 consolidate a career that continues to grow and place the project at the forefront of a new stage of projection within the Schnauzer world.
