As highlighted during the presentation by Culture Councilor Sonia Diaz de Corcuera, the festival boasts a "loyal, demanding, and knowledgeable audience," and this year will again feature prominent actors and companies on stage. Among them will be Josep Maria Pou, La Veronal, Aizpea Goenaga, Pont Flotant, Eneko Sagardoi, Natalia Huarte, Tanttaka, and Teatro Paraiso at the Felix Petite, Jesus Ibañez de Matauco, and Federico Garcia Lorca theaters.
Regarding language, Basque productions will once again be a minority: only seven out of the 34 shows will be in Basque. Kicking off the festival on October 7th will be the company Pont Flotant with their play Adolescencia infinita. Following this, Argentinian company El Rayo Misterioso will present Todo terminará para Navidad on October 8th, and China's TAO Dance Theater will offer a show on October 10th.
The first Basque production, Sidari by the group Xake Produkzioak, is scheduled for October 15th. The following day, the festival will continue with dance from the company La Veronal. On October 17th, Argentinian Compañía Criolla will present El brote, and on October 21st and 22nd, the festival will feature Fronteras by the company Check-In, starring actors Eneko Sagardoi and Carolina Yuste. Italy's Teatro delle Ariette company will blend theater and gastronomy from October 22nd to 25th.
On October 23rd, actor Josep Maria Pou will portray Giant, a play based on true events about the renowned English writer Roald Dahl. Towards the end of the month, circus company Zirkuss will present the show Sustrai, and Taiat Dansa will offer Las hijas de Bernarda. On October 30th and 31st, Carlos Hipólito will star in Largo viaje hacia la noche.
In November, Brazilian companies Polifónica and Poliana Lima will present their works. The play Constelaciones by CDN and Barco Pirata will arrive on November 7th, and Anita Maravillas company will bring family theater on November 8th. La Virgueria will stage the adaptation of the feminist reference work Teoría King Kong on November 11th, followed by La vida extraordinaria with actresses Malena Alterio and Carmen Ruiz on November 12th and 13th. The musical Farra will also be at the Felix Petite on November 15th.
On November 19th, groups Txalo Produkzioak and Tanttaka will perform the Basque comedy Rigor Mortis. On November 20th, the play Verborrea will be presented with actors Israel Elejalde and Javier Cámara, and on November 22nd, the group Brodas Bros will arrive with danceable hip-hop beats. At the end of the month, on the 28th and 29th, La Perla 29 and The Tiger Lillies will present A Macbeth Song in English, addressing themes such as death, power, and guilt.
December will open with the play Rojo nieve by Musaloka Kolektiboa on the 3rd. Dancer Paula Quintana's show will explore identity on December 11th, and Navarrese artist Natalia Huarte will delve into the world of surrealist painter and writer Leonora Carrington in the work Leonora on December 12th.
