Bizkaia is currently experiencing a significant heatwave, with six municipalities surpassing forty degrees Celsius on Monday. Elorrio, Orozko, Iurreta, Balmaseda, Zalla, and Igorre are among the locations that have registered temperatures above this threshold. Under such conditions, the heat inside vehicles can become intense, making driving uncomfortable.
To efficiently expel hot air from the car's cabin, the Vizcayan driving school Mikel has shared a series of simple steps. "It's not easy to get into, you have to get the hot air out of there," noted one of their instructors, gesturing towards a vehicle.
The initial step involves "pressing the open button for a period of time," which causes the car windows to lower automatically. "The air is starting to come out a little bit," they explained.
Once inside the car, to expel the hot air as quickly as possible, they recommend turning on the air conditioning with the windows open. "This way, the hot air will be expelled more rapidly," clarified the instructor, adding that "we leave it like this for about a minute, and then, close the windows."
