The Basque Government, via SPRI-Basque Business Development Agency and Basque Trade & Investment, has launched the application process for the 2026 Basque Global Industry Scholarships. This program aims to advance the international careers of individuals under 30 by providing paid internships in foreign companies and institutions for a period of six months.
Building on the previous Global Training program, the Basque Global Industry Scholarships focus on industry, internationalization, and strategic sectors for Euskadi. The initiative seeks to promote international mobility and enhance the employability of young Basque talent.
In addition to the international stay, the program includes a preliminary specialized training phase to prepare participants for professional environments and international markets, enabling them to gain valuable experience, knowledge, and contacts for their future careers.
The program is open to young individuals with higher education and administrative residency in Euskadi, holding nationality from an EU member state. Applicants must possess an official university degree or a Higher Vocational Training qualification. English proficiency requirements are B2 for university graduates and B1 for Higher Vocational Training graduates.
Individuals who have previously participated in similar international mobility programs with internships abroad lasting six months or more, or who have previously worked or interned at the host company or organization, are not eligible.
Beneficiaries will receive a gross monthly stipend of 1,785 euros during their stay abroad, alongside participation in a program designed to strengthen their professional and international competencies.
Applications will be accepted from July 23 to September 21, 2026. Comprehensive information is available on the CamaraBilbao website.
