The Jaizubia Equestrian Club in Irun will celebrate its Club Day this weekend, organizing an open house with a variety of activities. Starting at 9:30 AM, the club's facilities will host a packed schedule running until late afternoon.
While the event is open to all ages, it is particularly geared towards children. Younger attendees can enjoy pony rides, bouncy castles, and various games such as sack races, tug-of-war, and musical chairs. A football match between parents and children is also scheduled.
A popular lunch will be held at midday. In the afternoon, the festivities will include a concert by Azeituna con Huesos, followed by a DJ set to conclude the day. The event is organized by the club's board of directors, with support from the club's instructors.

José Antonio Niño, the club's vice president, explained that the event serves as a celebration for members and aims to "promote equestrianism." He also highlighted the club's involvement in school sports, providing ponies for events like the Alardealdia, the Three Kings' parade, San Sebastián's Tamborrada, and the medieval fair in Hondarribia. They also bring ponies to schools and neighborhood associations.
All scheduled activities on Saturday will be free of charge, with the exception of an equestrian excursion around the Hondarribia lighthouse starting at 8:30 AM, which requires prior riding experience.
Next month, from June 12th to 14th, the Jaizubia Equestrian Club will host the Euskadi Show Jumping Championship.
