The Hondarribia City Council will initiate twelve new projects this year, selected from 228 citizen proposals, marking the first time such a participatory program is implemented in the municipality.

Among these initiatives, the most significant investment will be directed towards the renovation of the Puntal children's park, with a cost of 87,120 euros. Additionally, swings will be installed in Guadalupe, Asto Bidea will be repaired, and a bicycle parking area will be established on Jaizkibel Avenue, among other improvements.
While an initial budget of 200,000 euros was planned, the final allocation for all proposals will be 210,148 euros. Municipal officials have stated that other suggestions will be reviewed by various departments within the Council.
From over two hundred proposals submitted by residents, the Guarantee Group, comprising municipal technicians and political representatives, selected twenty. The planned voting process was altered following a unanimous decision by the Guarantee Group, which determined there were insufficient options to proceed with a public vote.

"Other proposals will be analyzed in the different departments of the Consistory."
