Students and teachers from Irun's Conservatory and School of Music and Dance will hold a street parade and performance in Ensanche square to celebrate European Music Day and the end of the academic year.

Students from the Conservatory and School of Music and Dance in Irun will hold a special event this Thursday in Ensanche square to mark the end of the academic year and European Music Day, celebrated on June 21st. The day will kick off at 5:00 PM with a street parade heading towards the town hall to announce the start of the festivities.
This initiative aims to present the «work of the entire academic year» to the public, according to Sandra Caballero, the delegate for Education and Youth. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the «talent, professionalism, and great atmosphere» of the center's members in a setting designed for enjoyment.
Caballero emphasized that both students and teachers participate in these performances «always voluntarily, with enthusiasm and great willingness». So far this academic year, they have carried out 109 activities, 90 of which were in Irun. This number is expected to rise to around 130 in the coming weeks, including events such as the one that will take the Conservatory's Orchestra and Band to Valencia this weekend.
The delegate stated that «music, art, and culture have no age», reflecting the presence of both young people and adults in a diverse program featuring various styles.
Amaya Liceaga, the center's director, detailed the program. At 5:00 PM, a street parade will commence, heading towards the town hall, composed of «the instruments of the Band and the triki and panderos groups».
Following this, at 5:30 PM in Ensanche square, a performance will take place featuring «the bands from the Conservatory and the School of Music, the orchestras, the pop-rock groups, and the Big Band». Additionally, there will be «dance performances, the choir for the youngest children (ages 4-7), and choirs from the 1st to 4th year of Musical Language». The program will conclude with folk and trikitixa performances, ensuring that «all the ensembles at the center are represented».
