This initiative, coinciding with International Nurses' Day, aims to bring the daily work of nurses closer to the community and, at the same time, promote healthy habits in a simple and practical way. The tent will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and anyone can approach it.
The proposal goes beyond simply distributing information, offering practical workshops on various topics highly relevant to daily life. These include learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, monitoring blood pressure, and improving oral hygiene.
Additionally, there will be dedicated spaces for healthy eating, international vaccination, pelvic floor health, and smoking prevention. The event will also focus on important life stages and topics that often remain taboo or cause embarrassment, such as pregnancy, menopause, contraception, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
“"We want to bring nursing out of healthcare centers and closer to the public to answer questions and share life-saving knowledge."
The goal of this initiative is to create an accessible, open, and welcoming space in the center of Vitoria-Gasteiz, where citizens can ask health-related questions without fear. Through workshops, advice, and demonstrations, many are likely to leave the Virgen Blanca knowing how to perform CPR or better manage their blood pressure.
