The fifth edition of the Araba ARF Tour will be held in Santa Cruz de Campezo on June 13, aiming to spread the spirit of rock-and-roll. The event will feature a free access program that connects the town with the festival's sound identity, bringing together a carefully selected lineup of local and international artists within rock, punk, soul, and garage genres.
According to the festival organizers, the punk duo Bratakus, composed of twin sisters Breagha and Onnagh Cuinn, will arrive from Scotland. Recently opening for The Hives, their music "combines attitude, irony, and social critique." From France, Alexis Evans will showcase his danceable blend of classic soul, funk, and blues, charged with contemporary energy.
Basque representation will come from the veteran Bilbao-based garage punk and rock-and-roll band La Secta, who will present their latest work, Buscando la luz. Additionally, Pelo Perro, a local band from Kanpezu, will offer their raw, unadorned rock proposal.
The organization has expressed gratitude to the Culture Department of the Provincial Council of Álava and the Campezo City Council for their involvement and support in carrying out this musical program. This event serves as a prelude to the 24th edition of the Azkena Rock Festival, scheduled for June 18, 19, and 20, and helps to "spread the flame of rock-and-roll throughout the Álava province."
With this new edition, the Araba ARF Tour aims to strengthen its commitment to the Álava territory, creating "a meeting point that keeps the flame of the Azkena Rock Festival alive" in an accessible environment for all audiences.
