The incident occurred at the residence shared by both individuals. Following the assault, the victim received initial care at the Ordizia health center before being transferred to Donostia Hospital due to the severity of the injuries.

Police units located the 41-year-old suspect at the scene. He was found to have lacerations on his forearm. During a subsequent inspection of the property and surrounding areas, officers discovered traces of blood.

The suspect was taken into custody on charges of assault and remains in police detention pending a court appearance.
